Despite Belal Aite-Ouakrim taking his personal tally to 6 goals against Concord Rangers this season, the Essex side ran out 3-2 winners this afternoon.
Hendon were dealt a blow in the 5th minute when Craig Vargas was stretchered off, and Concord took the lead in the 32nd minute when Tony Stokes converted a penalty. From the restart, Concord regained possession and immediately doubled the lead thanks to Gary Ogilvie. Shortly before half-time Aite-Ouakrim pulled a goal back. The assistant referee awarded the goal despite the ball not appearing to cross the line.
The Greens had the perfect start to the second period when Aite-Ouakrim turned his markers twice on the edge of the area and fired the ball home, but in the 66th minute Steve King headed home at the far post for what turned out to earn Concord a deserved win.
