Hendon beat Maidenhead United 2-1 at York Road, with two good goals giving the Greens passage through to the 3rd Round of the FA Trophy. Revenge for Maidenhead's 3-1 league win in October looked likely in the first minute when an early corner from Bubb was met by Pickett who headed home his second Trophy goal this season. Hendon had on other good chance, a free kick from Bubb which just went over. Maidenhead, meanwhile, had much of the posession for the rest of the half, but managed to do little with it. Hendon scored again in the 62nd minute, Clarke playing the ball across the pitch to Bubb, who in turn found Paul Yates breaking clear giving Yates the simple job of putting the ball through Barnard's legs for a well worked goal. Maidenhead refused to give in, hitting back almost straight away through Ricky Ibe, but couldn't muster the equaliser.
