The Supporters Association and Supporters Trust AGMs took place at Vale Farm last night. The evening began with the Association meeting, at which it was announced that vice-chairman Tony Wood had decided to step down from the committee after 45 years service. A vote of thanks was expressed to Tony for all his efforts over the years.
The Association committee now consists of Mike Hogan (chairman), Sandra Wood (secretary), Geraldine Clarke (treasurer), Les Vincent, Chris Rogers, Bernard Lawrence and new committee member John Rock.
The Supporters Trust AGM then took over, at which it was made clear that despite the fact the club is in a far more stable position, we must not be complacent and should continue to work hard to raise funds.
The question was asked of trust members if they had recruited as many family members, work colleagues and friends to the trust as they felt they could. Members were also asked if they felt they had recruited as many people as possible to the Snowball Draw. The question was also asked - if not, why not? Membership forms and snowball forms can be downloaded from the Supporters Trust website.
There have been some changes to the trust board, and this now consists of the following people.
Bryan Roberts & Phil Rogers (joint-chairmen), Chris Rogers (acting-secretary), Mike Harte (treasurer), Jacqui Cox, Paul McGreal, John Rock, John Rogers, Steve Rogers, Chris Rogers, Simon Lawrence (elected board members), Tony Rice, Eddie Edwards, Keith Taylor, Doug Smith (co-opted board members).
A huge vote of thanks was expressed to everyone who had helped the club over the past year, particularly those from Wembley FC who have made us so welcome at Vale Farm. Supporters will notice that the ground has had a further tidy-up this summer, and there are now brand new signs around the ground, as well as a new club shop for the Supporters Association.
