Bedford Town were comprehensively beaten tonight by Hendon, who ran out 5-0 winners at The New Eyire. Ofori and Randall both had good early chances come to nothing, the game then settling down until the 32nd minute when Binns was brought down just inside the penalty area, Martin Randall scoring from the resulting kick. Ofori followed up with a deflected shot around five minutes later to put the Greens 2-0 up into half time. Ofori's second came in the 67th minute, effectively killing off the game as a competition, but Bedford added two to Hendon's total before the final whistle. Derek Brown put a storming header past his own 'keeper, before Paul Wilson slid one past Lomas at the far post.
