Hendon drew 1-1 at Hampton & Richmond Borough this afternoon, and although a draw was the right result, the Greens nearly left Hampton empty handed. Neither side completely managed to organise themselves going forwards and although both sides had one or two good chances it looked to be going towards a 0-0 draw. However, in the 81st minute, chaos in the Hendon penalty area let in Billy Mead to poke the ball past a furious David Hook. However, debutant Brian Haule, a late substitute, popped up in just the right place six minutes later, and delighfully placed the ball past former Dons 'keeper Andy Iga for a late (and deserved) equaliser
