Hospitals have played quite a big part in Hendon's Christmas again this year. Last year, Paul Towler was at his daughter Emma's bedside as she battled against pneumonia over Christmas. Thankfully she has made a full recovery. Now it is the turn of centre half Mark Cooper to have these worries. His daughter, Miya, aged just 5 months has suffered from the same disease. "I spoke to Mark," said manager Dave Anderson at the end of last week, "and he tells me that they hope she is on the mend now and will soon be back to full health."
