Hendon reached the semi-finals of the Bryco Cup thanks to a 1-0 win over Kingstonian at Claremont Road this evening. A dour 90 minutes saw the game goalless at full time, with few chances at either end, Hendon's best two being a clearance from a K's defender which hit the post and a Ricci Crace cross which no-one could get on the end of. However, eight minutes into extra time, Hendon pulled ahead. Crace laid the ball onto Lee Endersby, who in turn played in Rob Haworth near the penalty spot. Haworth, with his back to goal, turned and despite going to ground in doing so managed to hook the ball into the net.
The victory sets up a two-legged semi-final with Canvey Island, the first leg to be at Park Lane on Tuesday 18th March.
