Hendon continued their long term poor form against Purfleet, going down again to the Essex side at Claremont Road, this time the score being 2-1. It took just two minutes for the away side to score, Kris Lee breaking finding himself free for a shot on goal. However, the Greens - who had the bulk of the play for the game - worked hard to equalise, and it paid off in the eighteenth minute, when a corner was won. The keeper flapped a flick-on from the set-piece out to Ricci Crace who took the chance and stabbed the ball home. However, despite the Greens efforts to take the lead, Steve Pashley rose unmarked at a corner and headed home in the second half. The Dons still refused to give up, and were nearly rewarded near the end, but two good penalty shouts were both turned down.
