Hendon retained the Middlesex Senior Cup this evening, becoming the first club to do so for 22 years, as they comfortably beat Enfield Town 2-0. After two early misses from Ricci Crace and Eugene Ofori, Hendon took the lead in the 19th minute when Ricci Crace, who was looking suspiciously offside, headed home a cross from Dale Binns. The lead was doubled a quarter of an hour later when Eugene Ofori headed an excellent cross from James Burgess past the despairing dive of Andy Hall. Hendon were more than comfortable for the rest of the game, and with more clinical finishing could have extended their lead. The win means that Hendon have now won the competition 14 times, equalling the record number of wins held by Enfield.
