Aldershot Town completed a quick and controversial double over Hendon tonight, running out 3-1 winners at Claremont Road. The Greens had reason to feel aggrieved at the result, having had two goals disallowed - one for offside and one apparently for a foul on Gareth Howells - and two good penalty shouts turned down. However, it still only took four minutes for a weakened Shots side to take the lead through Nick Roddis, and the Shots doubled their lead later in the first half when Stafford Browne took advantage of a loose pass at the back and comfortably finished past McCann. The Shots then scored their third just after half time, Steve Perkins heading home a free kick from around 10 yards. Crace hit back almost immediately for the Greens - firing an Ofori cross home past Howells, but despite the Dons putting in a good performance there was little they could do to pull back the deficit.
