Hendon were unable to retain the George Ruffell Memorial Trophy last night as they lost 6-5 on penalties to Feltham after a 0-0 draw. Hendon made several changes to the line up and included a number of reserve players who have been on the bench during the season, along with Mark Burgess who made an appearance having been with Aylesbury United and Wealdstone this season. Neither side really looked like scoring during normal time, Hendon's best chance probably fell to Sam Byfield who saw a free kick tipped just over the bar by the keeper. Dale Binns, Evren Arkali, James Burgess, Mark Burgess and Paul Towler all converted their spot kicks for Hendon, but Simon Huggett fired over the bar and Ricardo Alves saw his penalty saved by the keeper. Gary McCann was only able to keep out the first attempt from Feltham meaning that Feltham won the shootout. Just over £900 was raised for MacMillan Nurses from gate receipts and programme sales.
