An 82nd minute goal from Eugene Ofori was enough to defeat newly promoted Hornchurch this afternoon. The goal came after a good run down the left wing by Dale Binns, who then crossed the ball to the edge of the 18 yard box where it ran loose to Ofori who fired it home across the keeper. It was a very entertaining game in which both sides had chances to score, Steve West coming closest for Hornchurch, and Dale Binns having two good chances for Hendon as well as Steve Butler. Debutants for Hendon today were Dave King, Andy Cook and Richard Evans
