Hendon lost 1-0 to Heybridge Swifts tonight, neither side providing much in the way of entertainment for the hardy 200 or so fans at Claremont Road. Heybridge had the better of the early exchanges, but failed to create much until Brayley pounced on a loose ball in the six yard box to put the Essex side ahead. Neither side created much more than that one chance - Heybridge hitting the crossbar and having one free kick saved by Dave King, while Darren Placid was only tested once in the second half at the other end.
