Hendon's pre-season preparations came to an end this afternoon with a very good performance and a 4-2 win at Ware. Charlie Mapes opened the scoring after 6 minutes before Ware equalised three minutes later. Within 40 seconds the Greens were back in front courtesy of Brian Haule, and in the 15th minute Mark Kirby extended the lead. Ware pulled a goal back in the 58th minute before Kirby scored again in the 76th minute. On the stroke of full time former Hendon striker John Frendo missed a penalty for the home side.
