Hendon's poor home form continued this afternoon as league leaders Carshalton Athletic ran out 2-1 winners. The Robins, who were a hardworking side, took the lead shortly before half time when a shot from Des Boateng found its way into the net following a goalmouth scramble. The lead was doubled early in the second half through Ali Russell and at that point it looked like Carshalton would be comfortable winners. However, the introduction of Andre Delisser and Eugene Ofori sparked Hendon into life and Ofori pulled a goal back with twelve minutes to go. There were chances at both ends in the final ten minutes, the best of which fell to Carshalton striker Kunle Olusesi who saw his shot well saved by Dave King and the Robins held on for all three points.
