We are due to travel to Margate for a league match tomorrow, and we will be speaking to them later today to find out what the anticipated prospects of play are.
There will be a further update to the website once we have spoken to Margate, but please be aware that this update may not be available until after 11pm. Regardless of that, we intend to ensure the necessary steps are taken so that supporters avoid an unnecessary journey tomorrow. One game in the Ryman League has already been postponed tomorrow - that being Kingstonian's trip to Lowestoft Town.
If you are unable to get to the website, please call the postponement hotline on 07957 328352. This will be updated both this evening and tomorrow morning with the latest news on the prospect of play.
Margate, who have announced new stadium development plans this week, currently have 21 points from their 18 games, but have not played competitive for three weeks, although they did win 1-0 at Lewes in a friendly last weekend. Their last competitive game was at home to Tooting & Mitcham United, which ended in a 3-3 draw, and they have only won one of their last 10 competitive fixtures.
Gary McCann will be taking down a squad that is full of confidence, very keen to continue the recent run of good results and determined to move the club further up the league table.
As mentioned above, we will update the website and postponement hotline once we have spoken to Margate later today - but that update may not be available until very late this evening due to other commitments that your website team have this evening.
