Around 40 supporters attended the Supporters Association AGM this evening, along with chairman Ivor Arbiter, vice-chairman Dave Bedford and secretary Graham Etchell. The committee were re-elected unopposed consisting of Mike Hogan as chairman, Tony Wood as vice-chairman, Sandra Wood as secretary, Derek Furmedge as treasurer, Geraldine Clarke as assistant treasurer, John Rice as membership secretary, as well as Bernard Lawrence, Dave Garner, Paul Hutton, Stewart Liversidge and Ted Peck.

It was confirmed that the association donated 15,000 to the club last season, and move into the new season in an excellent financial position. Thanks were given to all those that had helped out in some capacity last season, even if it was just buying a burger on a match day.

Ivor Arbiter, Dave Bedford and Graham Etchell all spoke briefly and took questions. It was confirmed that physio Mike Rayner is staying with the club, which is a great bonus to the club following his hard work over the past two years. The new Adidas kit was shown to supporters, pictures of which will be online in the next few days. It should be available for sale by the start of the season.

Tony Choules and his assistant Gary Farrell joined the meeting towards the end and also took questions. They were both very honest and confirmed that many of last seasons squad had moved on, but that those who had stayed were young, enthusiastic and most importantly were Hendon players. They said that we are likely to go into the new season with a young side, and that it was very important that supporters got behind them 100% right from the first whistle. Patience would be required as the squad gels and as mentioned by Tony last week the target was to win the championship and start to move the club upwards again.
