Hendon ended their run of defeats with a 1-1 draw at a very windy Canvey Island. The home side were the better team in the first half with the wind at their backs and they took the lead in the 13th minute through Jay Curran. Hendon responded well in the second half and equalised in the 56th minute when James Bent converted a spot kick after Lubo Guentchev had been brought down in the area by Ricky Wiseman, the Canvey keeper. Wiseman was sent off and an outfield player was sacrificed by the Islanders to bring veteran keeper Mel Capleton on.
