Hendon bounced back from the disappointing performance on Saturday with a convincing 3-0 victory over Heybridge Swifts tonight, a team they failed to beat last season. The Greens had a number of chances to take the lead in the first half, but couldn't quite find the right final touch. However, within three minutes of the second half starting, René Street fired the ball through a crowd of legs to open the scoring. Five minutes later Richard McDonagh scored with a bullet header to complete an excellent move involving a number of players including Eugene Ofori and Dave Sargent. In the 65th minute John Frendo opened his account for the club on his league debut to put the game out of reach of the Swifts. Dave King in the Hendon goal had a pretty comfortable night and the delight was clear to see on the faces of players and supporters alike at the end of the game.
