The first team will be aiming to build on the midweek victory over Heybridge on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Hampton & Richmond Borough at Claremont Road in a 3.00pm kick off. Hampton have picked up two points so far this season, drawing 0-0 with Braintree Town last Saturday, and drawing 3-3 at Eastleigh last night. Michael Currie, Luke Fontana and Craig Lewington were on the scoresheet for the Beavers.
The Beavers spent five seasons in the Premier Division from 1998 to 2003, but were in Division One South last term, where they finished fifth to gain automatic promotion to the restructured top flight. The two teams last met in the 2002-03 season when a late Brian Haule debut goal earned Hendon a point at Beveree in a 1-1 draw, while strikes from Ricci Crace and Lee Endersby, 2 - the second, again, in the last minute, brought Hendon a 3-3 draw at home. However, in the Middlesex Senior Cup semi-final that season, Dale Binns and Jon-Barrie Bates scored to ensure the Greens progressed to the Final, 2-0.
