Hendon's miserable run of league results continued this afternoon with a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Wealdstone. As has so often been the case this season, errors were punished by the opposition, whereas last season the Greens were getting away with it and in turn punishing the opposition. The first goal came in the 14th minute when Mark Boyce scored following a poor clearance, Ryan Ashe doubled the lead in the 50th minute, and then an own goal from Mark Leach, which by all accounts was a very unfortunate deflection put the Stones 3-0 ahead, a lead that they held onto until the 78th when Dave Diedhiou scored a consolation. Stephen Hughes then cancelled that Diedhiou goal out to restore the 3 goal lead in stoppage time.
