Hendon won their first league game under the leadership of Gary Farrell as they beat Windsor & Eton 2-1 at Claremont Road on a cold, frosty evenning. However, they had to come back from behind after Paul Holsgrove had given Windsor a 26th minute lead when he latched onto a loose ball following a good save from Dave King to score from the edge of the penalty area. The Greens hit back in the 48th minute when Windsor keeper Chuck Martini spilled the ball in front of goal, and Ross Pickett reacted quickest to slam the ball into the net. Ten minutes later Hendon took the lead when Mark Nicholls hit a shot from 20 yards which was deflected past Martini. Both sides looked for more goals in the remaining half hour, but it was Hendon who held on for the three points.
