Hendon slipped to a second consecutive 1-0 defeat at Hampton & Richmond Borough this afternoon. Hampton had the majority of possession in a goalless first half, but the only direct shot at goal fell to Ross Pickett who saw his attempt well saved by Kieron Drake. The only other first half incident of note was when Hampton midfielder Ryan Ashe was rather fortunate to say on the field of play after a nasty challenge on Rob Courtnage. The Greens had more pressure in the second half, and John Frendo had a goal disallowed for offside just after the hour mark. The goal came in the 69th minute when Richard McDonagh was dispossed in midfield by Craig Lewington, who ran through and fired a shot just inside the post to score the goal that turned out to be the winner.
