Hendon went down 2-1 in their final home game of the season, losing to a hardworking Salisbury City side, despite taking the lead. It took only 5 minutes for the Greens to find the net from a set piece as Street beat goalkeeper Kevin Sawyer to head the ball home. Sawyer, having called for the ball should probably have done better, but reedemed himself within a few minutes by clawing out a defensive header that was heading for the top corner. After being outplayed for 15 minutes, Salisbury took the initiative and in turn comprehensively outplayed the Dons for the remainder of the game, netting through Wayne Turk shortly before half time, and a Matthew Jones header in the second.
