Don's performance not quite enough

Hendon went down narrowly by a single goal to nil at Tooting & Mitcham United today, despite a spirited performance by the away team. Hendon started brightly, although went down to an early goal from Antonio with Tooting looking comfortable on a quick break from midfield. Glenn Garner and Dave Diedhiou had the best of the Greens' chances in the first half with Diedhiou's shot in particular causing some controversy - the ball being cleared away while rolling across the line with fans of both sides unsure whether it had crossed or not. Hendon continued brightly into the second half, and forced a couple of smart saves from King, although never really tested their former 'keeper, with the majority of on-target strikes being close enough to comfortably save.
