Following todays game, around 100 people attended the end of season celebration in the clubhouse at Vale Farm. Everyone involved at the club, whether management, players, behind the scenes staff, matchday staff, supporters and indeed anyone else were congratulated on their efforts this season. Thanks were also expressed to the team who put on an excellent spread of food - including Sally Garner, Dave Garner, Sandra Wood and Geraldine Clarke.
Moving on to the awards, Jamie Busby won the double of players player and supporters player of the season. In the players player voting, Kevin Maclaren and Craig Vargas came second and third respectively, whilst in the supporters vote, the same positions went to Glenn Garner and James Burgess. Gary McCann chose Kevin Maclaren as his Young Player of the season, while the all important Clubman award went to James Burgess after completing his eighth full season with the club.
Off the pitch, the Chairman's award was again chosen by Graham Etchell and went to the co-authors of The Hendon Story, Peter Lush and David Balheimer. Supporters of the season were Paul McGreal and Jacqui Cox, the 500 mile walkers, while Charlie Osbourne was presented with the Young Supporter of the season.
