Hendon put in a very disappointing performance this afternoon as they went down to their third defeat in a row losing 2-0 to Hampton & Richmond Borough. The Greens made a change in formation from the previous two games, but it didn't give the team the impetus that was hoped for. Both goals came in the first half, the first in the 12th minute when Steve McGrath put the ball into his own net, and the second in the 32nd minute when Matt Elverson headed home a free kick. Hendon's best chances came early in the first half when Mark Burgess missed an empty net and late on in the second half when Eugene Ofori hit the base of the post. The Greens will go into the local derby against Wealdstone on Wednesday keen to get the first points of the season on the board.
