Reserves given rude awakening

In a game described by joint manager John Creith as "boys against men" the reserves were given a rude awakening to the standard in the Capital League as a young side were hammered 9-0 by Thurrock in the League Cup last night. Thurrock, who were fielding seven members of their first team, were 4-0 ahead at half time, and went on to score five more in the second half. Man of the match for the Greens was Danny O'Sullivan who stood out by a long way in the Hendon line up. The management will be hoping for much better things when they open their league campaign in a fortnight against Chesham United.
