An experienced reserve side picked up a point in their opening league game this evening at Chesham United in a 1-1 draw. All ten outfield starters have made first team appearances this season but they were unable to find a breakthrough in the first half. It was Chesham who took the lead early in the second half but on the hour mark Kieran Gallagher had a chance to equalise but he missed the spot kick awarded after Youness Nabil was pulled down. However, Gallagher made amends ten minutes later with a fine strike from the edge of the area. Both sides had half chances to win the game, but a draw was probably the right result. Both Gary McCann and Andy Pape were disappointed with some of the senior players as was reserve team manager Mark Crawford.
