Hendon's disappointing run of league results continued this evening as they lost 2-1 at home to Staines. The performance was much improved from Saturday but after a goalless first half Dave King misjudged a backpass from Iain Duncan and to their horror the ball trickled over the line to give Staines the lead in the 57th minute. Three minutes later Staines were reduced to ten men when Tariq Nabil was sent off for a second yellow card for diving in the area. However, despite pressure from the Greens Jermaine Hunter doubled the lead in the 76th minute with an excellent curling strike from 20 yards. Hendon's efforts were rewarded with a late consolation when Danny Murphy bundled the ball home in a goalmouth scramble.
