Hendon threw away three points this afternoon as they lost 2-1 to Braintree Town. The Greens took the lead in the 17th minute through a Blaise O'Brien free kick and had really worked hard throughout the game to keep hold of the lead with Sean Thomas making two or three top quality saves. However, it all went wrong in the 85th minute when Sean Thomas made an excellent parried save from Bradley Quinton but could only watch in horror as the ball looped into the net. The winning goal came three minutes into stoppage time when Thomas failed to claim the ball when coming out of his goal leaving the goal wide open for Quinton to head home.
