John Frendo returned from his loan spell at Ware in style as he hit four goals in Hendon's 7-0 victory over Redbridge, the clubs biggest win since September 1997 when Staines Town were beaten 8-1 in the League Cup. The result puts the Greens in the semi finals of the London Senior Cup where they will entertain Tooting & Mitcham United on a date to be announced.
The Greens took the lead in the 36th minute through Frendo, who went on to complete a hat-trick before half-time. One sour note in the first half saw the departure of James Parker to hospital with a suspected broken foot. Dave Hunt added to the scoreline in the 72nd minute, before Blaise O'Brien made it five in the 81st minute. Two minutes before the end of normal time Frendo scored his fourth, before Hunt fired home the final goal deep into stoppage time.
