The dream of regaining the Middlesex Senior Cup is over for another year after the Greens lost 2-1 at Northwood after extra time. The home side took the lead in the 19th minute through Peter Dean, before the Greens equalised shortly after the hour mark courtesy of a Gary Meakin own goal. With the scores still level at full time, it took a headed effort by Alistair Heselton from a free kick to win the game. Northwood were forced to play the last 25 minutes with Dave Nolan in goal after their regular keeper Liam Watson had to leave the field with an injury. Hendon's extra time performance was summed up by the fact that Nolan didn't have a save to make.
