In Saturday's programme, Gary Anderson gave an update on the injury situation at the club. For those who were unable to be at the game, we reproduce it here.
Ricci Crace originally suffered a thigh strain. He had been recovering well and had returned to full training but suffered a reoccurrence. He has also had issues with the knee on the same leg. He is now awaiting the results of his scan to see the extent of the damage.
René Street suffered a rather traumatic injury to his knee that has involved numerous appointments with consultants to have fluid drained from his joint. Each time the fluid returns making the management of the injury problematical. This has been frustrating for him as in himself he felt fit and strong and is eager to return.
Danny Murphy spent a very concerning few hours last Saturday evening at two hospitals after being stretchered off against Folkestone. Concerns were that he had suffered some bone damage but x-rays revelated that he has severe bruising to his lower leg and ankle ligament damage. Danny is young and fit so hopefully it won't be too long before he returns to full fitness.
