Due to the unavailability of Dave King this afternoon, Gary McCann moved quickly yesterday to secure the services of 17 year old keeper Rikki Banks on work experience terms from Crystal Palace where he has been learning his trade under the guidance of former Hendon favourites Iain and Bob Dowie, manager and director of football respectively at Selhurst Park. Rikki recently spent a short spell at Crawley Town, making a handful of reserve team appearances for the Conference National side.

Also making his debut today was 21 year old defender Daniel Mead, who joins on a dual-registration from Hemel Hempstead Town. Daniel previously spent two years at Aylesbury United after being released by Watford.
