Saturday is D-Day for the Greens as they bid to avoid relegation for the first time in their 98 year history. Not once since formation in 1908 has the club finished in a relegation spot, but in order to keep up this record, the Greens must win at Margate on Saturday afternoon. Even then, survival will be dependent on results in the Southern League and Unibond League. Should Hendon fail to win, they will be relegated regardless of other results. The concentration of the players, management and supporters alike must be to win those three points. Only if the three points have been won, will it be worth worrying about the results elsewhere.
It would be wonderful to see as many supporters at Hartsdown Park as possible on Saturday afternoon for what is one of the most important games in the history of the club. However, if you are unable to get there, the Margate website will have full live commentary from 2.45pm
