The first team reached the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup this afternoon with a 2-1 win at Whitehawk. The Greens took the lead in the 14th minute through Belal Aite-Ouakrim before Whitehawk fought back into the game with an equaliser courtesy of Paul Armstrong twenty minutes later.
Hendon regained the lead early in the second half through substitute Aaron Morgan, who was later replaced by Michael Peacock, who in turn lasted just three minutes before picking up an injury and being replaced by Danny Dyer. The win was marred in stoppage time when Jamie Busby picked up two yellow cards in quick succession and subsequently a red card. This means that he will miss the next round of the competition.
The draw for the fourth qualifying round will be made on Monday, and will be announced here as soon as it is available. As a result of our progression, our home game against Canvey Island has been postponed.
