Hendon continued their good start to the season this afternoon as they ran out 4-0 winners over troubled visitors Croydon Athletic at Vale Farm. It took 25 minutes for the Greens to finally make the breakthrough through Daniel Wishart on his debut, and just before halftime the home side made the game virtually safe with a quickfire double from Wishart and Jamie Busby. The Greens continued to probe throughout the second half and eventually Belal Aite-Ouakrim came through to finish the scoring in the 84th minute.
Croydon for their efforts look capable of springing a surprise or two during the remainder of the season and the Rams were cruelly denied late on when the ball crashed against the crossbar, but the Greens held on to keep the clean sheet and hold their playoff spot.
