Chelmsford City ran out comfortable 3-0 winners in the end at a chilly Claremont Road this afternoon. After a fairly even goalless first half, the Essex side showed their quality and experience after the break and took the lead five minutes in through Jason Hallett. The lead was doubled about fifteen minutes later when Jeff Minton converted a spot kick that was given for a clear push in the box and the third goal came in the 74th minute courtesy of Ben Chenery. Hendon's best chance to get back in the game came when Lee O'Leary saw his shot rebound off the inside of the post and back into play. Without doubt, Chelmsford will be one of the teams challenging for the title at the end of the season.
