Hendon won a scrappy match 2-1 at East Thurrock United this afternoon. The Greens took the lead in the 8th minute when Brian Haule headed home a free kick from Jamie Busby, but on the stroke of half-time the home side equalised through Gary Ansell. The second half saw both keepers make fine saves, but it was Haule who won the game when he lifted the ball over the keeper in the 89th minute to win the game and move Hendon out of the bottom four for the first time this season.
