The under 16's championship hopes were dealt a blow yesterday as they lost 4-3 to nearest challengers Princes Park B. Two goals from Will Mabbutt and one from Carl Ciagoro didn't prove to be enough as Princes Park scored a late winner.
The under 15's kept up their excellent season with a 7-1 victory over Lancaster Diamonds. Jordan Copeland and Geoffrey Lloyd both scored hat-tricks while Kyran McCarthy scored the other goal. However, the game was marred when defender Adam Badawi collapsed after the final whistle following a knock to the head. Paramedics were called and he was taken away to hospital. Everyone at the club wish Adam a speedy recovery and hope he's back in the green shirt soon. Also, the club would like to thank Dan and Chris from Lancaster Diamonds whose assistance when Adam collapsed was invaluable.
The other team in action were the under 14's who maintained their hold on top spot with a hard fought 2-1 win over Heathrow Club. Regular scorers Nassir Elmi and Nestor Bokuli were on target, but the team had keeper Parker Gilbert to thank for a number of excellent saves in the dying minutes of the game.
