Just one of our youth teams was in league action yesterday, and it was bad news for the under 13s as they lost ground at the top of the table by going down 3-0 at Actual Soccer. The under 16s were knocked out of the league cup by Brunswick, who are three divisions higher, losing 8-2. Charlie Benson and Michael Roache were on target. To add to their misery, they were knocked off the top of the table by Princes Park, who now lead by two points with both sides having two games left to play.
It was better news for the under 14s who won 5-1 at Pitshanger B in the league cup. Damilola Thomas and Nassir Elmi both scored twice, whilst man of the match Patrick Crinnigan scored the fifth. However, they were also knocked off the top of the table, this time by Greenford Celtic. The West London side have yet to drop a point in the league this season. The two clubs meet next Sunday at Copthall Playing Fields in a double header that may well turn out to be a title decider.
