Hendon put in one of the best performances of the season this evening as they won 3-1 at Staines Town. Despite going down to a 7th minute goal scored by Ali Chaaban, the Greens caused the Staines defence plenty of problems all evening and created numerous chances. Hendon equalised in the 19th minute when Darragh Duffy scred and then took the lead in the 34th minute when captain James Parker rose high above the Staines defence to fire the ball into the net, his first goal for the club. The lead was extended further on the stroke of half-time courtesy of Belal Aiteouakrim.
The Greens continued to create chances in the second half with Staines keeper forced to make fine saves on at least three occasions, whilst Richard Wilmot was only called into serious action on two occasions. The result moves the Greens up to a season high of 15th in the league table, whilst Slough Town were relegated this evening.
