Joined the club in September 1924 after his Life Guards regiment was moved to London. Swiftly established himself as the club's number 1 across the next two seasons. Previously played for Windsor and Eton and gained Army representative honours as well. Moved to Barnet at the end of the 1925/26 before returning to the club for the 1927/28 season. Dropped from the first team in November 1927, moving to Windsor and Eton in December 1927, and subsequently to Uxbridge Town for 1928/29.
