With Billy Breagan and Jimmy Spalton, he was a part of the Southall forward line in 1931-32. Whereas the others joined the club direct from Southall in summer 1932, he initially joined Windsor & Eton, not arriving at Hampstead until October 1932. One of a number of outside-lefts tried in 1932-33, none of whom was particularly reliable for various reasons, he made just six appearances for the club, scoring two goals.
