Signed for the club in the summer of 1924 having been part of Fulham's reserve side the previous season. In February 1925 he returned to the professional game with QPR, having initially signed with them as an amateur in December 1924, before going onto play more than 100 matches. Moved on to Millwall in 1929. Was released by the Lions in 1934 having made 128 appearances for the South London club, scoring once in a 2-0 win over Bristol City in October 1930.
