Half-back who could also play at inside forward or centre forward if required. First mention found for him in the Hendon Times was in the reserve side at Romford in December 1934 when he played at centre half.
Occasional player for the first team, whose final season was 1946-47, though he made one final appearance during the 1952-53 season in an emergency when he was officially club trainer.
Although he seems to have been known as Gerry, it appears that his birth was registered as George Ernest Marrable.
