On Saturday the Town paid a visit to Wycombe Wanderers, and secured a meritorious victory by three goals to one. Wycombe were the first to score, following a misunderstanding by the Town's defence, but subsequently excellent forward play, led to a magnificent goal by A. Humphreys.

The same player netted again shortly afterwards, and the final goal was scored by G. Garlick. F. Matthews as usual gave an excellent exhibition of the art of goalkeeping.
