What a barnstorming game this was. There was speed of thought and movement that simply left the opposition floundering. Roy Sleap was again in dominant mood in the centre half spot, supported by a well controlled defence.

Up front Laurie Churchill had another field-day, scoring two goals, and Jimmy Quail showed something of his true form, particularly in starting the movement that enabled him to head home Churchill's cross.
