Match Report

Hendon's third and final game in the Bucks Examiner Trophy ended in defeat to Chesham United. It was also Chesham's first win in the competition having previously drawn 1-1 with Amersham Town and lost 2-1 to Hemel Hempstead Town.

The first half was probably Hendon's poorest of the day and Chesham took advantage of some lax defending to take the lead in the 9th minute, and just four minutes later the lead was doubled.

Gary McCann made a number of changes at half-time and was rewarded when Anthony Aylett took advantage of a slip by the Chesham keeper to slot the ball into the net.

However, despite the defeat, the Greens went on to win the trophy. In the final game, Hemel Hempstead Town needed to win by 7 clear goals to win the trophy, or win by 6 goals to go into a penalty shoot out with the Greens. However, Hemel were only able to beat Amersham 2-1, thus meaning that Hendon were declared the winners of the Bucks Examiner Trophy.
